I was visiting Amelia Island with a friend when we stumbled upon House of Collectibles, and I'm so glad we did! My friend knew I was a collector of nostalgic items, so we had to stop by. The shop is packed with all kinds of treasures from the past, especially records and toys from the 70s.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. French, who I believe is either an employee or the owner. He was incredibly helpful and welcoming, always wearing a big smile and making sure that every customer felt valued. His enthusiasm for the store and its items was infectious!

I picked up a few VHS tapes (since my suitcase was a bit limited), but I can’t wait to make another trip to this gem. The shop has so many nostalgic items, from books and toys to VHS tapes, records, cassettes, DVDs, and more. It’s the perfect spot for collectors and anyone who loves old-school hobbies. You could easily spend hours browsing the shelves, discovering items that bring back great memories.

Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

Tons of books and toys in this cramped cottage. It's on a side street off the main Center St drag, but they have their own parking spaces so it's a fun stop. Plan to spend some time as theres no real system of organization in the place.

Love this shop. Bought some really unique original artworks that were affordable. You never know what you'll find here and why I always love coming back to see what's new that I can add to my collection. Owners are really nice and I can't think of another cool place like this where I can buy so many interesting things all at once. Thanks!

Charming, one-of-a-kind store in the heart of historic Amelia Island. Fell in love the moment I heard they have vintage records among so many other delightful treasures. I was overwhelmed with the variety and diverse collection offered here...like a kid in a candy shop, I spent a long time looking over these treasures here from comics to pokemon cards, they even have a huge book selection upstairs and downstairs. Lots of fun decorative items and collectibles, things from the last several decades, it really brings back so much nostalgia. The owners were really friendly and knowledgeable when I was looking for a particular record. I will definitely be back and glad I found this gem of a store, so unique and different and just what you hope for in a small downtown area.

This wonderful little shop is such a gem. There are endless great books, classic toys, and vinyl records. The shop is impeccably clean and well-organized. Highly recommend stopping in!

As a reseller and vintage lover - this place was not it. Thought this would be a cute mom & pop - wrong. The space was incredibly crammed, the prices of products were up-charged, and when confirming prices there is a no barcode scanning policy that will result in refusal of service. A 10% up-charge is understandable. A 200% up-charge is not. Support local businesses just not this one.

The term is often thrown about these days, but this is a real deal "mom and pop shop" (I met them both and their son!) What at first appears to be your cobbled together junk store truly is a full service vintage and new music and book shop, not to mention their vast collectibles. I was charmed at how well curated, organized, and packaged everything is. You get all the fun mystery of digging through piles of old stuff, but may also be informed of right where to go if you're looking for certain authors, artists, first editions, original prints, you name it. I would've almost felt a little better if they'd charged me more for what I got, but they seem insistent on exceptionally reasonable pricing. This will be a constant stop for me in the near future. And I hope you will too. It's abundantly clear how they've been able to stay there all these decades. Thanks guys!
