Stopped in here for a hot chocolate which was delicious and some sweet treats. We tried the pistachio shortbread and regular shortbread as well as apple pie. They were all a home run the shortbread was nostalgic and buttery. The hot chocolate was rich and delicious paired with apple pie. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also got delicious sourdough bread. They have a beautiful outdoor area to sit in with picnic tables. I highly suggest making a stop here if driving past.

We often travel from Jacksonville to visit Orlando, and every time we make sure to stop by Yahala Bakery. It’s always an incredibly delightful experience. We stock up on plenty of their pastries, enjoying the fantastic flavors and beautiful presentation. We also love taking home an assortment of cakes and bread to extend the pleasure for as long as possible.

Recommended by a local. The parking lot was full, the line was intimidating but it moved quickly and it was worth the wait. Music on weekends starting at noon. Chicken salad was fantastic. Whole grain bread was incredible. Their strudels are perfection.

I asked for Irish Soda Bread on March 16th and got a response of "we don't make that here". So I get a loaf of marble rye, ask for it to be sliced and took home something of questionable quality. I also ordered a piece of carrot cake that looked good, but was dry and lacked any flavor. This was my first trip there in 3 years and definitely my last.

The Yalaha Bakery is the gem of Lake County. It’s almost impossible to pick a treat or a loaf of bread. Everything is five stars.

This is a must stop if you have visitors in town. Highly recommended!

I can finally say that I've been to Yalaha.

We came for lunch and came with an appetite. The area to order for the Deli was in a separate room from the Bakery, so there was not a huge line to order our lunch. However, the room is a cramped space and you can't really read the menu on the wall until you are at the register. There is a very limited breakfast/lunch menu, and the portions felt small for the price. The meal itself was very tasty though. But still, I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here.

The indoors seating selection is minimal with the AC working overtime near the Bakery barely making a dent in the heat. The deli side felt much cooler, but still only had about four tables meant to comfortably seat two people.

The bakery is why you come. The selection is vast and literally everything looks good. Since it was our first time here, we definitely picked more options than normal to-go to try later. I'm happy to report that everything we tasted was amazing, and never too sweet. The Bavarian cream pastries are just heaven.

The outdoors area looks beautiful and shaded and I'd like to return in the winter to enjoy that atmosphere.

All in all, it's a strange location, in the middle of nowhere, but it opens up this portal to a quaint German countryside atmosphere with delicacies meant to bring a smile to your face.

The selection of sweet treats is great. A bit pricey perhaps, but each piece of cake quite large. There should be an option to get 3 or 4 SMALL pieces at appropriate price. Trial-sizes so-to-speak.
We had great weather and sat outside. Park-like setting. Only demerit was the overflowing dumpster in our line if view. Maybe it's the only way that it CAN be placed. But it would be nice to somehow shield it from view: netting perhaps, with a paint job... castle or other theme? ...to complete the feeling of nature setting...?
