I forgot why I don't shop Trader Joe's anymore. While the produce and meat is good quality and excellent value and good selection of organics and other unique products not available elsewhere, they never have everything I need so I still have to go to a grocery store. The aisles are too narrow and too many shoppers. And most shoppers spend way too much time lolly gagging as if they're these great undiscovered home chefs with these discerning tastes. Get what you need and move on or at least out of the way!

Always happy to find a TJ's wherever I travel, their layout is basically the same so it is comforting to find familiar food items like home. Workers are always friendly and helpful. This Phoenix location was a larger site compared to ones in SoCal.

Trader Joe's is my favorite store, but recently they have really raised their prices. They have upped their prices since the covid crisis, which I
hate to see. Right now when people can't afford rent or house payments, all the food prices are also going up. Hopped they would be the one store to not gouge during the time of need.

In and out is a little tricky, but worth it. There is a great BofA ATM next to a large Starbucks with a drive through. Aw c'mon, you're going to Starbucks to buy coffee and then to sit and watch the world go by. Drive-through takes away all the fun. There is also a big Trader Joes.
Apart from these, my favorite spot in the shopping center is a Peruvian restaurant called El Pollo Inka. I've been to Peru a couple of times and this place has very good food. If you got a Friday night you will get to hear Andean flutes and music from Peru. Something to keep in mind, their kitchen closes early about 8:30, you can stay and eat until 10 but they don't usually sit new people after 8:30.
My wife and I prefer the sauteed dishes, which in Spanish is "saltado." Your choice of chicken, pork, beef or seafood served over your choice of noodles or french fries. The noodles sound more logical, but the french fries taste so much better! They make their own hot sauce and it's white with green flecks in it. My Korean wife is used to hot food and when she saw the color she said this can't be very hot. But she tried a little anyhow and her eyes opened wide and she told me oh yes, it is hot. There is an unusual appetizer on the menu, it's a boiled potato skinless served cold with a creamy white sauce on top, not spicy so you'll have to grab some of that white with green flag hot sauce to put on top of it if you really want to have hot food. It's called papas a la huancaína. Or you can order the fried yuca. It comes with a similar sauce.

Difficult to enter going S on PCH: approach from S or via Aviation from E. HB Lost our Ralph's here and are gaining a Trader Joe's. El Pollo Inca has grown over the years with expanded menu in addition to great daily specials. Beauty supply and services store: carries Bare Minerals. Has beauty services. Beauty parlor manipedi shop also (separate business). One West Bank. State Farm Ins. 9000' sq. next to TJ's currently available.
