Positive: I like location and the mountain view from the hotel room and it's clean. It's a motel actually and I am not expecting anything more from it. Negative: Yea there was a wired sound comes from the extinguisher in the washroom and we are the only one family in the whole hotel and it's bit scary . Except that all GOOD.

I’m am staying here right now so this is a live review. I’m in room 9 the women’s dorm. The place is amazingly clean and smells nice. The location is perfect and parking good and front desk staff and shop really cool…,,,.., I love that the room has a small fridge and I appreciate the microwave even though when it is plugged it a weird sound comes out so we were forced to move it to use it so we could easily plug and unplug it. I like the coffee machine and cups although the coffee provided is not made for the maker but for individual cups. I appreciate the powdered cream and sugar but no sticks are provided for mixing…….|The tv does not work and it is not just the remote. TVs don’t belong in dorm rooms anyway as they can create conflict……The ac works fine. The sink has a constant drip and sadly the shower is the worst as the temperature is either on fire or ice cold. There is no balance and my flatmate had the same experience. Either you burn or freeze-this is the biggest complaint. The toilet requires two flushes and sadly there is no bathroom trash can which women need! A hook behind the bathroom door would be great to hang a towel. ||All that being said . I’m pretty happy. It is turning into a nice stay and they let me hang in my room during the day in contrast to what others have said. ||Now I’m going back to bed. I’m submitting Whitney in the AM.

There's no closet and even no rack to hang up your coat. There's no hair dryer to dry your hair, guess what, I have to use AC heating my hair so that I could not get cold (thankfully they have AC heating here). Small room close to the road, no doubt it was a noisy night.
I also saw a couple who said they booked room through Booking.com but they didn't receive room access code and they tried to contact with Hotel using emergency contact number but no one answered.
Overall, nothing but only good location for watching mountain Whitney.

Had some bugs on the ceilings, dusty floors, and A/C in room assigned wasn't working.
They fortunately moved us to a room with working A/C. When original room's A/C situation was repaired, they moved us back and moved all of our stuff gently from the room they put us in with working A/C.
Great location for Whitney hike if you are in town. Walking distance to some small places to eat.

Worst experience of our entire holiday!
We booked the hotel because of the relatively good reviews on one of the major booking platforms and particularly due to the spacious rooms they advertised. The room size was stated to be 38 m² or 409 square feet.
The room we received was barely more than half the size. Due to the lack of space, we had no way to accommodate our baby.
According to the reception, there were no larger rooms available, so we had to find a new hotel for the night.
Despite the circumstances, the hotel management refused to refund the costs.
This was by far the worst experience we had during our entire USA vacation. What a shame!

I loved the location and views were great but no common area for a "hostel". We were also about to leave and the front desk lady comes barrging in and asks if were finally leaving we still had 7 mins left to leave. She's extremely rude. The teenager at night wasn't much more helpful either about information. I would say that's the only thing holding it back from being a great place.

We arrived after 8 p.m. and doors were locked - we never received a code to get into our room - we couldn't get ahold of anybody at the hotel - we ended up having our reservation canceled - paid the full rate for two consecutive nights without even staying there - had to find another hotel last minute late at night - talked to front desk about any possible resolution to the issue and she directed me to "just send an e-mail" because I guess the hotel manager "doesn't like talking on the phone" I send a polite e-mail asking what could be done to correct our situation and basically got told to kick rocks
Don't stay here. Management is obvious rude, disinterested in customer service - seemingly predatious business practices.
Highly suggest considering other accommodations in town first - this place as a last resort.

Get one of the private rooms on the back of the building as they are much quieter than the bunk room. The queen room was spacious enough that I was able to get cleaned up and have a great night's rest after climbing Whitney. Checkin/checkout was easy as they sent me a room code via text, so even though I was late coming off the trail I had easy access directly to the room without having to get a key.
