Normally I have a pretty good experience at this store, some stuff seems a bit over priced even for a card shop but generally the staff and environment makes up for it.
There is one individual I just had the absolute displeasure of interacting with a couple minutes ago, when I say I could taste the condescension, I could have cut his disdain for being asked a question with a knife would feel like an understatement.
It looks like this person has potentially had several reviews on him and his attitude continues to go unchecked so a word to the owners look at the schedule for now and I’d think have a serious conversation with this guy.
I think this is the first time I’ve stepped foot in this store and not bought something and the first time I’ve written a not so great review on any card shop.
I came in because I was having a shitty day and getting new cards is a big thing I love to do on the bad days.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back ever here again.

Tap to pay charged about 4 days later on my card! Be mindful of that. Cool spot for Pokémon cards, Yugioh cards and other memorabilia. Even some board games were available here, lots of stock. They have an independent search and check out station that was awesome for what I came for. The staff can seem unwelcoming at first, I can suggest to simply say “Hi welcome” or “anything I can help you with?”. They’re more than happy to assist when you directly ask or approach first, but I’m sure staff saying things first can improve the welcoming environment. They’ve got lots of table space to play, and good amount of space for parking.

I’ve been to this store countless times for their great events with good prize support, fantastic play area/size, great selection of product, the best single selection in LA, and normally wonderful staff. However, there is one employee who ruins the entire experience every time I have the misfortune of speaking with him. He is rude, short, dismissive, and unhelpful. The otherwise incredible experience is always ruined when his presence is there. I would normally highly recommend this store, but if you are someone who maybe doesn’t know much about a game and are trying to get information or find a gift for someone or even someone who has social anxiety/shyness then do not go here simply because of the chance of having to speak with this person.

I visited this place for the first time recently. No price tags on the deck cases I got. It turned out they overcharged each of the deck case I got, and they charged me almost twice the regular market price. The guy at the cashier didn’t even put the stuff I got into a bag. I asked for a bag, and he dropped a deck case I got on the ground and just laughed. Very rude and he didn’t even look at me. People seemed to be having fun playing cards there, but I’ll never come back.

Really nice card shop with a good assortment of products. I mainly came for Magic, and there were lots of cool singles and harder to find packs. Really glad I stopped in!

CL is my go to place for TCG purchases. They have a great selection of most TCG libraries. Also have a friendly staff. Make sure to thoroughly check your purchases before you leave, just like any other service industry, humans occasionally make mistakes. When a mistake is made here, the staff is always respectful and accommodating, willing to fix it immediately.

Greedy, scalpers. Those are the first words that come to mind for me. This prismatic evaluations launch is just the last straw. They receive product for $20-30 and charge tcg prices rather than msrp.

When I asked why I was told it’s a business. Sure it is but you are still going to make profit off msrp right? They buy out local card shops and then charge ridiculous prices for products. Don’t buy here and support this buisness they aren’t in it for the collector they are in it to take advantage of the collector.
