The Gun Works is awesome! Mike is the best there, he always is willing to help when it comes to finding a certain gun, specific round or if you’ve got anything that needs repair he’s able to get it done. The work is always the highest quality and he can customize pretty much anything you ask for or want that is still CA Legal/Compliant. I couldn’t ask for a better place to go to get all my needs when it comes to guns/ammo or anything else in that realm. Mike is also a great family man and cares about the community here. The gun works is a family owned and operated Gun shop in Susanville California. The owner is also a great Gunsmith The atmosphere is very relaxed, and friendly. The owner is very knowledgeable about his business. If you don't see what you want he will get it for you just ask. He has ammo and other accessories aswell. When I walk in the door I feel very welcome. I believe we need business like these in our town. This gun shop is very pro 2nd amendment. So if you are new to shooting or have tons of experience they have the knowledge to help you out. This shop is conveniently located at the pardner (old feed shop) on Johnsonville road with tons of parking. I highly recommend 👌 this shop.

These guys are awesome I have been buying guns a very long time. bought my first gun in 1986 so I know a good gun store when I see one . I have also sold them a few rifles to purge the safe and they were very fair with me . I was very satisfied. And they are always very nice , it's a very family type store . Getting ready to do 2 AR builds and will be going back..highly recommend for your next firearm purchase..

This is a great gun store not just for Susanville but for anywhere. Owner is very helpful answers questions. I had a couple really "dumb questions" lol, owner politely answered all my questions. I really can't see a weakness in this store, anybody don't like this place I think isn't really honestly giving it a chance. Great shop good selection of guns and ammo. Owner is highly trained gunsmith not just salesman.

Mike is great and does great work. Very reasonably priced as well. He’s done a ton of work for me and friends and has zero complaints from us. For being a one man operation he gets things done as timely as possible and is constantly having more and more stuff dropped off to work on, at least from what I’ve dropped off and from what I have seen while I’m there. I highly recommend Mike and his work.

Poor experience for me. Took in a firearm for gunsmith work. Not only did it take forever, but the work I wanted done was not done well. Screwdriver marks and dings in the stock that were not there when I dropped it off. Ammo and gun prices were high and the female seemed intoxicated. Won't be back.
