Abhorrent service and rude staff. I initially politely requested a refund on a defective item purchased earlier the same day. They outright refused and I became more aggressive in my tone, as by Statutory Consumer Rights they cannot withhold funds on items that do not match their description and are not fit for purpose. It is THE LAW. They came up with all sorts of elaborate fake excuses (“we have to contact the bank for a refund” which is a total lie if you have an electronic POS system) and even had the audacity to tell me that I needed to contact “store management” and wait up to a week. All over a vape that stopped working after a few puffs during my work break. One of the staff members even went as far as saying to the other one “make sure you take down his name so he doesn’t come here again”. You are not entitled to my name of any other private details without my consent. How do you operate a business with such poor knowledge of trading regulations?
Well, here’s my name on the review fellas! Have at it. Also, I’m reporting you to Trading Standards, because the last time I bought a vape that stopped working after a few puffs it was because it was a counterfeit. I should mention this too: only doing refunds in cash so the transaction can’t be traced on the card machine looks suspicious to me.

Feel free to give me the sassy response you’ve given to another customer on Google Reviews. I don’t care. You are greedy and you are scamming people.

PS - Ban me all you want, I don’t give my money to fraudsters.

EDIT: Thanks for the response. Unprofessional and filled with lies as expected. I was not shouting before the product was inspected. I did in fact shout at you because you didn’t even entertain the conversation concerning a refund on a faulty product and you were cutting me off, therefore I put you in your place. You were acting in complete disregard of the law. And this was AFTER you inspected the product and went on to say “how we know the product is faulty and you didn’t break it”. Do you think I would go through the trouble of scamming someone for a measly £13.99? You also tried all sorts of excuses and tall tales to avoid a refund of £13.99. So yes, you are greedy. If you run a business, there is risk involved if your merchandise is not up to par and as the authorised retailer you are indeed the one who takes the hit. It’s just how it is. It’s part and parcel of running a business. Use your brain and get theft and damage stock insurance.
Beyond being greedy, you are also a liar because you are misrepresenting the situation and painting me as an abuser.

From one immigrant to another: please familiarise yourself with the laws of this country, as you must abide by them in order to run a business. You are running a retail establishment, not a market stall.
And YES, I am reporting you to trading standards, as you and your business partner are absolutely out of line. You are the small-minded one, because you have zero education on the law and business ethics. As I said: I’m comfortable with the ban, as I don’t intend to spend money there ever again. Stop being a professional victim, take accountability and visit “Putney Food Drink & Vape” by the railway station. The gentleman there could show what a good businessman looks like.

The Arrow is a great addition to the Putney Bridge area, the owner of the store is helpful and very friendly, despite what others say in their reviews.

Unlike the shop next door, the arrow is clean and has a good selection of products, that are fairly priced.

Would recommend

Having lived in Putney over 6 years, I’ve never met a shop owner with such terrible attitude. He’s very rude and stores outdated items. Wouldn’t stop by ever again.
