I remembered when this plaza first opened up with much fanfare. But most of the original stores that helped build this place up to what it became, are long gone except for a couple places. That wouldn't be such an issue, but even right now, there's not many businesses anchoring this place down, and there's all sorts of empty spaces and have stayed dormant for a while. Seriously? What's wrong with these greedy landlords that they're charging so much for rent, that they can't attract any new businesses? It's quite sad. Instead, their only money-maker is being paid to set up Tesla chargers on the side of the 99 Ranch, and taking out more parking spaces. Would say they were much needed, but they don't get the same traffic flow they used to. This place has gone in neglect for too long. You can tell, just by looking at their dried up fountains that are filled with dirt and trash. They don't even care enough to clean it up!
You have a seafood restaurant that calls itself Five Stars, but hardly is --food is mediocre, and the service has been horrible for decades. Worst off, they simply borrow the Chinese name of the actual restaurant that used to exist, but really that group has gone belly-up and closed up their LA & OC operations long ago. Why should people go up to that restaurant? At the bottom of that part of the building, lies the Daiso, which is the only thing that helps bring in the rent. Why don't the landlords allow them to expand? The space between the different floors between the ground level up to the restaurant are just an empty wasteland, just like most of the other shops that lay empty on the wings of this center. Such a sad state of affairs compared to what it used to be, and a far-cry from the potential it could be.

The Focus Plaza is a famous commercial plaza in the Chinese-inhabited area. The parking lot is large and there are many businesses. There is a famous Chinese supermarket, 99 Dahua. Due to the epidemic, many businesses have been evacuated, but the parking lot is always full and a very prosperous scene. There is a seafood restaurant on the fourth floor, and there are always guests taking the elevator to go up to eat or eat seafood. The third floor is a jewelry sales hall, with many merchants selling all kinds of jewelry and jade, and the second floor is a 37-year-old cosmetics sales company with many well-known brands, and the prices are also very good, often discounts or gifts.

My first time to be this square is 6 years ago, this is a big and nice commercial area, there are AT&T, bakery, Daiso, 99 Ranch Market, Snack store, and a lots of very good Chinese restaurants in this place,I tried all of those stores and restaurants, they provide great service. By the way the parking lot is huge. But it is the COVID pandemic time, those restaurants are closed around one year, it’s so sad! Currently, I only go to the 99 Ranch Market for essential food, but I’ve seen the light at the end of the tunnel, the COVID cases dropped a lot now and more people got vaccinated overtimes, hopefully, we can get out of the pandemic sooner and all restaurants and stores can reopen, then all working people can come back! Stay strong!?

This mall was refurbished back in the 1900's. Since that refreshening, the chinese-characters neon lights that appears in the night gives this asian-styled plaza an extra asian look and feel. There is the 99 Ranch Market located at the south end of this large plaza. There are many restaurants located on the street level as well as on the second level. This is an excellent plaza to shop and also to get a sense of what an asian city can look like.

There is a large parking lot at the street level, and a smaller parking lot below in the subterranean level, but on weekends (and close to chinese holidays) the lots can be filled quite easily. During those times, plan on getting in early.

Has everything you need, jus hard to find, you will be walking around the store looking for things awhile ! N don’t bother asking staff, NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH !
You ask someone something, n they direct you to another person n so on n so on ! Please people ! Please learn a little more English ? OR HIRE PEOPLE THAT DO !
It’s not all your own people shopping there !
Should have warnings out front ! No English spoken !
That way people will know what they are in for ! Not an easy place to shop !

A great Shanghai restaurant is in here as well as many other interesting shops and restaurants. The 酒酿圆子 (a dessert) is the best I have tasted. Check it out.
