I usually eat from their prepared food counter on my way home from work or for lunch at least once a week.
Everything is usually good and so is the service. Tonight was not so. I asked for a meal I have ordered for over 3 years since I've moved here. The girl at the counter said we don't do that it's per pound. I said that's strange because I order it as a meal all the time and sit down and eat it here. As I'm speaking she's cracking a smile and treated me like I'm stupid. She kept saying not asking that I wanted rice and beans with it, while having a smile that said I'm making fun of you. My heart sank because I don't like being treated that way and that is my favorite store in Bradenton and I felt unwelcome and sad. I finally said forget it, I don't want anything. Instead of an apology I got what are you doing I didn't do anything to you, why are you crying. If you are right away defensive...you know you did something.
I said no thank you, and teared up from sadness and embarrassment.
I will no longer be shopping and eating there.
I feel dumb ever spending money there if I am not valued.
That's a shame that a Latino has to put down another Latino. I'll travel a little further and shop elsewhere

They have a variety of baked goods, fresh produce, meats, spices, and many more. I love their cooked foods, it was delicious and fresh. The cashier in cooked food area was very friendly and helpful. If you are hungry and want authentic Spanish foods, this is the place!

I stopped here to check it out, because there is a hot food counter, and I wanted to check out their produce and spice sections. Everything was very fresh looking and well stocked. The meat counter had lots of good looking food and there were busy staff was cleaning and keeping things looking wonderful.

All the food in the hot food case looked good, considering it was almost 3 PM when I arrived.

I ordered the chicken salsa Verde, which came with a side of rice, beans (well seasoned & delicious) and a stack of small corn tortillas that were warmed through. The chicken was sublime. It was the best meal I’ve had in a long time, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I sat inside at the counter, there is a selection of salsa if I wanted it, and the people who served to me were very nice.

The store is a gem with lots of Hispanic and chilies and curry for Jamaican food meals.
I did not try the bakery next-door, so it sounds like I should check it out as well. This was a real score, for someone who likes to haunt alternative grocery stores and experiences.

I’ll be making this my go to place to pick up spices, herbs, fresh salsas, housemade guacamole, fresh salsa, delightful produce options, comals, cookware, whole loofah sponges, and much more. This place has it all

We went here for something authentic. Not disappointed, the food in the back at the restaurant was really good. The staff was friendly. The prices were also in line with the amount of food. They speak both Spanish and English for those of you who don’t speak Spanish.

I went here to order lunch. I’m not good with speaking Spanish so the cashier had to get help. My order was finally completed but the girls working by the cash register were laughing because we didn’t know Spanish. I didn’t expect this kind of reaction and I won’t be returning. I mean come on this is America us the people who were born here shouldn’t have to know Spanish.

Food is GREAT but it's inside a store and can get very crowded and busy and can be hard to find a seat if you have a big group. Very cheap and they give you A LOT of authentic Mexican food, NOT TEX-MEX. They give you a side of about 10 soft tacos with a meal and a HUGE cup for a drink (horchata is the bomb). The bakery next door is also inexpensive and great.
